IF/THEN SOUTHEAST ASIA 2020
The second edition of IF/Then Southeast Asia is held In partnership with Tribeca Film Institute. The program provides project funding and creative distribution mentoring to short documentary projects that explore a range of socially, politically and culturally relevant topics through the lens of young and emerging storytellers from Southeast Asia. The program stands out for its capacity to leverage short documentary film as a vehicle for responsive, community-driven storytelling and filmmaker viability. It is a fund and also a distribution initiative - the first of its kind to support independent short-form storytelling in an effort to maximize revenues and garner the widest possible international audience for our films. You can check out the previous edition of IF/Then Southeast Asia 2018.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic, we have decided to conduct the program virtually on 17—23 June 2020, consisting Story Development Lab on 17—21 June and Pitch sessions on 22—23 June 2020.

The Pitch Session - previously planned to be conducted in Docs By The Sea 2020 - to determine the two-top projects that will receive USD $20,000 grant respectively is also changed into pitching sessions to Decision Makers that's connected through In-Docs and Tribeca Film Institute network in online format. Additionally, all of the selected projects will receive USD 1.000 instead.

The first day of the Pitch Session (22 June 2020) that starts from 19:30—22:30 is open for registered observers.
