Sandan Love Garden is a story about young Balinese couple who breaks from tourism, becoming an organic farmer, living in a slow routine while the massive industry forced the island.
After stepping away from tourism, Wahyu and Ayu returned to their roots in the village, going on the uncertain path of organic farming. Though born into a farming lineage, they knew little of the trade. Their father entrusted them with ancestral land, dormant for over a decade. Determined but inexperienced, they turned to online resources and the wisdom of the elder, experimenting to bring the soil back to life.
The challenges is there, unpredictable weather, unstable markets, wavering family trust, and the use of pesticides among neighboring farmers. But they didn’t give up. Visitors began to arrive at their farm, forming a community of support around them. Slowly, they gain trust within their family, and they extended that trust outward.
Amid their struggles, Ayu discovered she was pregnant. Their dreams turned toward the next generation, a child who might one day continue their mission. Through seasons of doubt and growth, their farm became more than soil and crops; it became a testament to resilience. In their labor, they saw a vision: that every seed carries the promise of renewal, and every harvest whispers of an unbroken cycle of hope.
