This film is a meditative poetic documentary about the way of life of the Talaandig people in the heart of their ancestral land. The Talaandig is an indigenous group residing in Mindanao, the southern island of the Philippines. They believe that their Creator, Magbayaya, has made the eyes of humans from the stars in the sky. These same stars are actually the eyes of Magbabaya that he scattered across the universe. What is it truly to see through the eyes of the Creator? For them, to look at nature is to admire one’s own sacred handiwork. In these modern times where virtual paradises have taken over real forests, is our eyes still made out of stars? This film delves between two worlds, one that we inherited and one that we are creating through technology.
