If Then 2018

If Then 2018

In partnership with Tribeca Film Institue, IF/Then Shorts in Southeast Asia invited 17 projects from 4 countries to attend a story development workshop on 4—6 May 2018 in Jakarta, Indonesia. Through the workshop, participating filmmakers received mentorship in developing their story, finding the most powerful angle, and creating the most compelling storyline from 5 international mentors. Ten projects were then selected to pitch in Docs By The Sea 2018 in the hopes of securing completion funding and distribution mentorship through IF/Then Shorts. The 10 projects are as follows: Bullet-Laced Dreams, Dancing Queen, Diary of Cattle, Home, How Far I’ll Go, The Other Half, Songbirds of Aceh, Swallows Trapped in Twilight, The Legend of the Fish, and Touch the Colour.
