Beyond the Landfill
Originally from Singapore, DEWI TAN is an independent filmmaker and a recent Masters of Environmental Science graduate from the Yale School of the Environment. Her research in environmental anthropology focuses on urban inequality and water development issues in Jakarta, Indonesia. Her previous short film The Cycle (2017) has been screened internationally at film festivals and most recently in the traveling human rights Freedom Film Festival, which screened in Malaysia and Singapore. In 2018, DEWI was one of the 48 filmmakers selected to participate in Werner Herzogļæ½s film workshop in Peru.
