Here are the recipients of all prizes Docs By The Sea this year as given out during closing ceremony on August 9, 2018, in Bali:

IF/Then prizes for completion fund and distribution contract for South East Asian projects:

• Bullet-Laced Dreams (Cha Escala, Kristoffer Brugada, Philippines)

• The Songbirds of Aceh (Aminda Faradilla, Malaysia)

IF/Then prizes for completion fund and distribution contract for Indonesian projects:

• How Far I’ll Go (Ucu Agustin, Indonesia)

• Diary of Cattle (David Darmadi, Lidia Afrilita, Indonesia)

IF/Then project to be fully commissioned by Al Jazeera’s Witness program:

• Touch the Colour (Baby Ruth, Philippines)

IDFA Prize – one project selected to attend IDFAcademy and to observe IDFA Forum during International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam 2018:

• Under the Stars (Venice Atienza, Philippines)

Dok Leipzig Prize – one project is selected to observe the co-production market at Dok Leipzig 2018:

• Miss Universe in Jail (Max Canlas, Philippines)

Dok Leipzig Prize – one project is selected to participate in work-in-progress forum at Dok Leipzig 2018:

• An Elegy to Forgetting (Kristoffer Brugada, Philippines)

AIDC Prize – one project is selected to pitch at Australian International Documentary Conference 2019:

• Sculpting the Giant (Rheza Arden Wiguna, Banu Wirandoko, Indonesia)

AIDC Prize (Special Mention) – one project is selected to attend Australian International Documentary Conference 2019:

• Help is on the Way? (Ismail Fahmi Lubish, Indonesia)

Docs Port Incheon Prize – three projects are selected to pitch at Docs Port Incheon, South Korea, 2018:

• The Songbirds of Aceh (Aminda Faradilla, Malaysia)

• Touch the Colour (Baby Ruth, Philippines)

• Untitled Project (Jayson Bernard Santos, Philippines)

Current Time TV’s Best Pitch Award – one project will receive USD 3,000 cash prize and an acquisition deal from Current Time TV:

• Don’t Talk About Freedom (Gerry Apriryan, Indonesia)

Tokyo Docs Prize – one project is selected to pitch at Tokyo Docs 2018:

• How Far I’ll Go (Ucu Agustin, Indonesia)
