In 2019, filmmaker Riani returned to Indonesia, determined to confront her past and heal from childhood trauma. Her older sister, Meita, chose a different path—building a new life in Sweden, far from the place that once hurt them. In 2023, the sisters reunite when Riani visits Meita abroad. As they revisit old films Riani created during their shared hardship of witnessing abuse, the two reflect on their divergent journeys and how their upbringing shaped who they’ve become.
