Amidst the lingering shadows of the 2019 social movement and a global pandemic, we followed six imaginative and energetic Hong Kong high school graduates. Our director, who is 37 years old, invited them to participate in a Super-8 project for an exhibition in Norway. The director himself is at a crossroads of his own, reeling from the loss of his studio and a broken relationship. When he discovers his father’s pristine home videos from the 1990s, the calm and affluent Hong Kong landscape of the past begins to reckon with his fractured present, along with his deep regrets and missed opportunities. Does the act of making art offer him solace amidst all these commotions?
